I get CCKW Generators reconditioned to new spec and appearance for $125 at my Delco Authorized Repair Station who has been at it since 1910.

Can you post the name/address of the Repair center? If not, your post will be deleted becuase its of no value to say 'I can get parts... but I'm not telling where'.
This site is about SHARING information... so please share.

Corrected PN in Title... error was brought to my attention by WWII truck.
Most of his post was deleted due to lack of substance.... but will give credit for finding the typo.

Go here:
https://ws1.wilsonautoelectric.com/ec03 ... 4413&part=In the Cross reference box you will find Delco Remy 1105873. The genny I got from Zorko's has the proper data plate and rebuild tags.
Even Rex Ward in the UK is not selling rebuilt gennys for less than $250.
WWIITRUCK put up or hush up... post where I can get a rebuilt genny for $125.

After deleting numerous useless posts I *finally* dug out what WWIITruck it trying to say.
He means to say he is getting gennys rebuilt for $125.
The link I provided is for purchasing a 'NEW' genny, not having a core rebuilt. NAPA charges $10 for a core, but its not required.
I'm sure any person or business could recondition a genny, its not hard. Parts are all readily available.
But for many CCKW owners who find themselves with an alternator to start with, paying $125 or $25 to recondition a genny is of no use.. you gotta have a genny to start with.

The link you have provided is for a REBUILT, not a "NEW". genny. Look back in the window at the NAPA storeto see them having a good laugh as you leave.
Frank von Rosenstiel has NOS Surplus GI Issue CCKW generators for $100.00. There is nothing better than original equipment from a knowlegeable dealer.

When I e-mailed Frank and he did not have any gennys.
Vehicles of Victory did not have any either.
Rex Ward in the UK has them, wanted $450 to ship it to my door.
"GENERATORS New £185.00 S/H £65.00 each "
If you have an e-mail or price list from Frank then please post. As of Nov last year he did not have any. Without further proof I am doubtful that your prices and source is accurate. The only genny he has had in the past were the early 6V pos ground ones.
You have said many, many times that certain items are 'rare', or hard to find.. yet I find them in quantity over and over again. Books, TMs, parts, etc. So please understand my questioning of what you say... it has been less than reliable in the past.

If Frank is out, his current ad does not indicate that, Sam Werner has NOS 40Amp in the GI sealed boxes at very reasonable prices. I cannot post my confidential wholesale price from Sam. Russ Jones may have some at Sam's Ohio warehouse he shares.
Mr. Farber you have to stop being so combative, Army trucks are fun for most of us, and you have so much to learn. Stop stepping on toes and get with it.

You come to MY board and pull the same crap you do on every other board.. post all these musing with no proof.
'I can get NOS out of the box gennys for $100.... but can't tell you' is a lie. Until you PROVE that you can you are doing nothing more than spamming my board with your sales drivil.
First you could get NOS genny's for $125, then they were reconditioned, now one of your quoted sources is 'out' (which I knew the did not have NOS gennys to begin with) now you have 'secret wholesalers' that you cannot quote prices because they are secret... read that again and tell me if you sound reputable.
You may very well have access to $100 NOS gennys, but until I see one, or get a name/phone number to order one (which I have no need for becuase I already have a genny) they are figments of your imagination. I posted where you could get one, the price and that it was a direct replacement (mine even has the proper delco remy tag)... you make post after post with absolutely NO VALUE and even less factual information.
For the VERY, VERY, VERY LAST TIME uninformative posts like 'I know where I can get them' without a name, prices, contact info etc WILL BE DELETED. This board is about sharing information.... get on board with that one, simple idea or you will be thrown out. I am more than happy to share the fruits of my research. How useful would the site be if all I did was post 'I found a place to get the correct cloth wrapped wire for $.10 a foot to make your own harnesses!'... and then never post the place to actually GET the wire????
If my posts are wrong, I simply correct them... I don't feel bad about being wrong, or making corrections as both events serve the purpose of this site... TO SHARE INFORMATION.
